Cakes and Lakes

I've been lucky enough to have recently enjoyed a wonderful week in the Lake District.

I was away with a friend, holidaying in a rental cottage in Keswick, where we indulged in some lovely walks, good food, plenty of shop mooching and fabulous tea and cake sessions.

As you may know, I'm a little partial to some tea and cake.
Here are some of the photos I took.

Till next time...

A Riot of Colour

I thought I’d show you a quick knit that I completed a while ago and have been enjoying wearing whilst winter turns to spring.

It was a classic case of…oooh I like the colours in that ball of yarn. It’s lovely and soft too and I’m going to buy it and figure out what to knit with it later.

It was a 100g ball of King Cole Riot, bought on an impulse. I decided to make an infinity style scarf using a pattern by Linda Dawkins called Forest Glade Cowl. This is knit in-the-round and was great for the colour changes in the yarn.

The pattern is open and loose and grows quickly, and is perfect for a TV watching kind of knit.

I’m now busy working on a few different projects, and will show you those as and when they get completed. Some are my own designs and I’m excited to get the patterns written up and share them with you.

Till next time…
